Officer’s Reports: I. Presidents The October meeting minutes were approved. John Perry reported that the Teacher’s Holiday Breakfast is scheduled for Dec. 8th. A sign up sheet for breakfast items was passed around the meeting. If you are interested in participating in this breakfast, please contact a PTO Board Member. II. Recording and Corresponding Secretary Julie Giroux reported that a thank you card was received from the 3rd Grade classes and teachers. They found Scientist Michael and his Top Secret Science programs to be fabulous and informative. Thank you cards for the Touch-A-Truck participants will be mailed shortly. A thank you card will be sent to Farley Funeral Home to acknowledge their generous donation of the iPod that was raffled off at the Halloween Dance. It is hoped that future PTO Meeting Minutes will be distributed via Mail Chimp soon after the meeting. III. Treasurer Michelle Langmead reported that the current balance is $24,263.53; savings $2,564.02; total $26,827.55. We received a donation of an iPod from Farley Funeral Home. We raffled it off at the Halloween dance and made $279.00. Thank you to the Farley family. Although the numbers are not completely in, it looks like we made approximately $5,700.00 for our Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser. This is about $1,500 more than last year! Halloween dance brought in over $300.00. Things we provided this month: - Top Secret Science in-house program for Grade 3 - One Teacher Grant for markers, tape and some storage containers for the classroom. - We continue to fund the classroom magazines as I receive the bills. - Storyworks magazine for the library.
We are still waiting on the final totals from the Book Fair and Fall Fundraiser (Charleston Wraps).
The PTO will reimburse the school for the laminating materials used to prepare for the Pumpkin Patch.
As an investment in PTO, it was considered that storage shelves for the storage area under Room 11 be purchased.
